Highlights From the First Keep Our Neighborhood Beautiful Campaign 2020

Friends of Navajo Canyon First Clean Up, 12/5/2020

Our first Friends of Navajo Canyon Community Clean Up was a huge success! Thank you to all the neighbors and community members that volunteered and donated items for this effort.
Special thank you to District 7 City Councilmember Raul Campillo and Park Ranger JJ Paetow for their help and support of our community.

Together we cleaned-up and packed out an estimated 1,000 lbs of trash from our canyon and surrounding Adobe Falls intersection!

Let's keep up this effort by working together to keep our canyon clean and a beautiful place to walk and visit! Please help ensure that trash is collected in a bin, and help to pick up any trash you see in the area. You can also use the city of San Diego's Get It Done app to report crime and illegal dumping.

More information, pictures, and ways to get involved can be found on our Friends of Navajo Canyon page

2020 Holiday Lights for the Community

The final event in our AGG Beautiful Project was the hanging of the Holiday Lights for the Community. Every year, Board members of the AGGCC and other volunteers have hung Holiday Lights on the Waring Road Bridge, and decorated a tree on the intersection of Zion Avenue and Waring Road (commonly referred to as the “Triangle”) just to help make our community a little more festive.

We hope you and your families will enjoy the lights as you walk or drive in our neighborhood. Please take pictures and use #AGGBeautiful to show appreciation to the volunteers who work hard every year to make our community beautiful and full of joy!
